Assignment Summary
My partner and I used technology for just about every aspect of this assignment. First, we used it to contact one another, and then to communicate while working on the project and to coordinate who was doing what. And then obviously to build the library we used technology for that as well. Email and google slides were the primary tools used for getting this assignment done and communicating along the way. I have never used google slides in that way and I have never created a digital library. I didn’t know how to get the book on the slide and put the link in the book. So that when you click on the book it automatically shows the link to get to the voice over. I just had to look it up and it turns out its pretty dang easy. Other than that, the assignment was quite easy, and it was fun to look into different children’s books. At first, I wasn’t very engaged but once I made some progress I started to get into it. Especially once our library started coming together, I thought it was cool and looked nice. First a foremost I will always prefer in person classes I find that I learn more and its fun to get to know people face to face. That being said at the moment it isn’t realistic for me at least at SOU so I think getting exposure to the technology needed to do something like this and getting to be creative so that one day when I’m making assignments, I can use that creativity to make other creative assignments. The biggest challenge was just trying to communicate especially with our different schedules, and I was very sick the week this assignment was due so that was another challenge added on that I wasn’t expecting.
